“I do not and will not support abusers.”

Chicago MC Noname’s sophomore album Room 25 has been out for just over a month, and the project is now set to get some new cover art. After learning about artist Bryant Giles' recent domestic battery arrest and the subsequent allegations of sexual assault leveled against him, Noname announced on Twitter that she no longer wanted his work to be associated with her project.

Giles was arrested in Chicago on October 8 for a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. A friend of his alleged victim (who is Giles' ex-girlfriend) has now gone public with accusations that he punched and sexually assaulted the victim. Thus far, Noname has not revealed when the new artwork will arrive or what it will look like.

Noname’s Room 25 dropped on September 14, featuring contributions from fellow Chicago artists like Phoelix, Ravyn Lenae, Saba, Smino, and more. She released the album independently, telling The FADER that she fully bankrolled its recording and production herself. It serves as the followup to her 2016 debut Telefone, which was preceded by several star turns on songs with Chance the Rapper.
